This comment is on SD 29. Speaking from the standpoint of a Bon Air resident, the problem with this district is that it excludes neighboring communities with which we have the closest communities of interest in the Southwestern and Western suburbs of Richmond, the Northern part of Chesterfield along the James River, and the Southern part of Henrico along the river. Those are the areas with North Chesterfield has the strongest connection in terms of jobs, transportation, health care, and leisure. The district should not include portions of Chesterfield County south or west of 288.

I think this map does a good job of keeping Montgomery County in a single district. I really like that Blacksburg is kept in tact, along with the surrounding area. Putting Blacksburg and Roanoke together in a district is a great idea, as the areas shares a similar community, with shared values, issues, transportation, business, etc. This is in contrast with some of the other maps, that put the Blacksburg, Radford, and Christiansburg area in a district that extends into rural Giles and Craig counties, which this college-community shares little with. This way this area is able to elect a representative that is in tune with the issues that it faces. The only thing I would critique is not including Radford in the same district as these other college communities, as it shares the values and culture of a college town.
