This comment is on SD 10, which includes my community of Bon Air. This district is appropriately drawn to include the North Chesterfield and Richmond communities that share a community of interest in terms of jobs, transportation, health care, and leisure. Excluding the Henrico areas north of the Huguenot bridge is debatable but has the benefit of limiting the district to two localities (Chesterfield & Richmond). Overall, this drawing of SD 10 is very good.

My hometown of Vienna is carved up into two districts and its wider community of interest of Vienna, Oakton, Fairfax City and George Mason are placed into different districts. This entire area should be kept whole, not split into three areas without any apparent reason.

I really like this map! I would be under Senate District 39 under this map, and it has clear lines under main roads. This is good because it allows the neighborhoods to stay together. The other districts in the area like 37 and 35 do this as well.

I would be in District 39 in this map. As a resident I really like it! The lines are very clean and follow main roads, so the neighborhoods stay together. The other seats I see in the area such as 37 and 34 do this as well. That's important in Northern VA.

I really like the overall look of all of the Richmond based seats. They are fair in terms of creating 2 African-American opportunity seats and keeping similar communities together. This is a better makeup of the Richmond based seats than any other map I've seen.

I don't think it makes sense for there to be parts of King George County in this district. It is more logical to keep going down I-95 into Northern Spotsylvania County.

I'm not sure I agree with combining Charlottesville and Harrisonburg. I get they are both college towns, but there are a lot of unrelated rural areas between them. I think it makes more sense to create one Charlottesville and Albermarle County based seat.
Sam Shirazi
I like how this African-American majority district is based entirely in Hampton and Newport News, without having to cross the water into Norfolk.
