On the whole I like this district, however am not happy with my community being left out of it. Like many of the communities in the proposed district, Larrymore once was part of the old 87th, and shares many of the same concerns and issues as those communities included in the 45th. I urge that Larrymore be included along with Water's Edge, and perhaps consider readjusting the southern segment of the district as regards Lake Smith in Virginia Beach for instance.

District 45 is a fair district and Norfolk needs an advocate that will represent all the concerns of this district regardless of political persuasion. A good advocate to deal with constant backups on Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel and how it affects local traffic. We are a hub for shipping and transportation with our port and airport and need a competitive internet portal. We have unique issues of flooding and aging infrastructure with some of our water lines 75 years old or older that need addressing. The Jewel of our city the Azalea Gardens needs representation as do many businesses that have been struggling because of the pandemic. We have not had a mostly Norfolk representative since Thelma Drake and Paula Miller in the old 87th House 10 years ago. This map leans Democrat but is still fair for someone willing to work hard to represent us all.

After studying this map I think this a great idea.

This map looks like just what we need.
